Cherry Blossom Childcare is privately owned and operated childcare program located on the James Bay Community School Society grounds, and downtown Victoria providing fulltime childcare to children 2.5-5years of age/ 0-36months of age. We offer quality early learning program where children and families feel welcome and safe. Tasks, duties and responsibilities:

- Being knowledgeable of and follow Island Health Licensing regulations as they pertain to caring for children and daily operations of childcare setting under the direction and guidance of fellow educators
- Adhere to program policies and procedures
- Practice collaboratively, respectfully and mindfully with fellow educators
- Have genuine interest in children’s participation in the program and daily activities
- Active participation in all program routines and activities including supervision of children, cleaning etc.
- Assist in planning, organizing and implementing child-led activities, care and transition routines
- Organize and maintain the childcare space (both indoor and outdoor) in an efficient manner and keep the areas safe, tidy and inviting
- Attend to children’s needs and interests on a regular basis
- Monitor and observe children’s participation, interactions, needs and be ready to step in where necessary to support, direct, guide, problem-solve and de-escalate

Qualifications:

- ECEA/ECE License to Practice in BC
- First Aid Training and Certification
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- At least 2-year experience in a childcare setting
- 2 references

Working Hours:
Cherry Blossom Childcare is open 7:30am - 5pm. Working hours vary and may be extended and adjusted for ratio if/when necessary. Flexibility in availability is preferred and appreciated.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
