We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Home Support Workers to join our amazing team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional care.As a Home Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients.Employee Type: Casual Work Setting: Community home carePay Range: $20-24 Per Hour- Canadian Dollar (CAD) Key Responsibilities:Providing Essential Homemaking Support: Execute homemaking tasks according to the established care plan, ensuring the highest standards of comfort and safety for our clients.Maintaining a Clean and Safe Environment: Perform light housekeeping duties, including washing dishes, doing laundry, making beds, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting, vacuuming, and removing garbage.Meal Preparation and Shopping: Prepare nutritious meals as outlined in the care plan and shop for groceries and personal items.Childcare and Pet Care: Provide attentive childcare and pet care as specified in the care plan.Monitoring and Reporting: Observe client conditions meticulously and report any unusual events or changes in condition promptly.Infection Prevention: Adhere to infection prevention practices to ensure a safe environment.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed client records and documentation as required.Continuous Learning: Engage in ongoing internal and external continuing education activities to stay updated with best practices in home support.We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package for you and your familyFlexible working hours to accommodate your scheduleOpportunities for professional growth and developmentA supportive and inclusive work environment with easy access to managersJob QualificationEducation: Secondary School Graduate or equivalent Completion of Home Support Program/courses preferred Other Requirements: Reliable transportation Clear criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening Experience and skills: Proven experience, of at least one year, in a similar role is highly desirable. Understanding of infection prevention practices. Exceptional communication and observational skills. Proficiency in performing light housekeeping tasks. Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
