The Portal Billing Lead is responsible for successful oversight of portal billing activities including process documentation, directing workflow, and developing effective processes for third-party portal billing to achieve desired outcomes. In addition, the portal billing lead will assist with resolving customer payment issues and maintaining accurate customer accounts.
This position is temporary 9-month position with the possibility of becoming permanent.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Audit and create step-by-step billing processes on each third-party billing portal (e.g., Ariba, Service Channel, FM Pilot, Oracle, Coupa, Open Invoice, etc).
- Utilize effective problem-solving techniques to troubleshoot rejected invoices.
- Implement and train personnel on correct billing procedures for all portals.
- Meet regularly with individual team members to build rapport, provide support, and break down any obstacles they encounter.
- Identify gaps in billing process and implement effective solutions.
- Work with accounts receivable team to identify and assist in customer payment issues.
- Apprise Controller of progress and obstacles encountered.

Other required duties may be assigned that fall within the parameters of the primary responsibility of the position.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Portal based billing experience (e.g., Ariba, Service Channel, FM Pilot, Oracle, Coupa, Open Invoice, etc.).
- Understanding of customer accounts and account reconciliations.
- 5+ years experience in billing.
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated Intermediate level in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Office products.

**Preferred Experience and Knowledge**:

- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 1+ Year of accounts receivable experience.
- 1+ Year of management experience.
