Founded in 1968, Gateway Mechanical is a privately owned company that has established itself as a leader in the commercial and industrial refrigeration, heating, and air conditioning industry (HVACR). Attending to 40,000+ service calls per year, Gateway is the largest HVAC & Refrigeration service provider in Western Canada. Our model is comprised of local branch teams with fully qualified personnel representing HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing/gas fitting, sheet metal and electrical trades. These teams are supported by centers of excellence including professional engineers and project managers which ensures Gateway’s full technical capability is available for every project and service call.
The Client Portal and Collections Lead is responsible for overseeing the billing and accounts receivable teams to ensure timely creation of invoices and credit memos for customers, documenting and streamlining existing procedures and effectively lead these teams to achieve desired outcomes.
This position is temporary 9-month position with the possibility of becoming permanent.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Audit and create step-by-step billing & accounts receivable processes on each customer portal (e.g. Ariba, Service Channel, FM Pilot, Oracle, etc.);
- Utilize effective problem solving techniques to troubleshoot rejected invoices by either with the portal or directly with the client;
- Meet regularly with individual team members to build rapport, provide support, and break down any obstacles they encounter;
- Apprise Controller of progress and obstacles either team encounters.
Other required duties may be assigned that fall within the parameters of the primary responsibility of the position.
**Minimum Requirements**:
- Portal based vendor client experience is required;
- 5 years experience in billing and some exposure to accounts receivable;
- 1 year management experience required;
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills;
- Demonstrated Intermediate/advanced level in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Office products.
