AstraZeneca’s Digital Health R&D Patient Health & Innovation organization develops digital solutions to support our development and commercial drug portfolios. These digital solutions (e.g. Unify) encompass connected monitoring devices and sensors coupled with medical device software to:

- Improve clinical development, through optimizing data collection and improving communications between AZ, HCP and patients
- Provide enriched data sets to support regulatory submissions, and differentiated labelling
- Optimize real world medication use by patients and deliver digital interventions to improve clinical outcomes

As part of the Digital Health R&D the team will develop and execute AZ’s R&D Digital strategy. The program has already delivered the first versions of bespoke digital solutions for clinical trials globally, built on a standardized set of modules to enable identification and recruitment of patients, ongoing engagement and retention, support to sites and collection of data directly from patients.

**What you will do**

The holder of this role will collaborate and partner with our internal cross functional teams to support the successful implementation of digital patient solutions to support the execution of clinical trials, and digital therapeutics crafted to augment the efficacy of AZ pharmaceutical products. The role holder will also contribute to defining processes and ways of working for now and the future.

The role holder will:

- Support Implementation Leads by completing delegated project work.
- Initiate and lead the execution of ODD & RID, as required.
- Interact/Collaborate with internal staff and external vendors in collection of regulatory and other essential documents.
- Coordinate administrative tasks and logistic support throughout the implication life cycle of the study.
- Lead the practical coordination and contribution to the preparation of internal and external meetings. Liaise with internal and external participants.
- Prepares, contributes and develops presentation materials for meetings and electronic communications.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Bachelors level education or higher
- Relevant experience in R&D and knowledge of the Drug Development processes
- Proven organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross functional setting with internal as well as external partners
- Ability to challenge the status quo, take ownership and holds self and others accountable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
- Display excellent organization and time management skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-tas in a high-volume environment with shifting priorities.
- Passion for Patients, representing the needs of diverse patient backgrounds and views in all decision making.

**Desirable**:

- Project management skills
- Experience of developing products to support patients in AZ’s therapy areas
- Device, software development and / or clinical project management
- Comprehensive understanding of dynamics affecting the pharmaceutical industry and needs for transformation
- Ability to work globally including international travel
