- Come build the future with us In this dynamic role, the Business Analyst performs an important role in OMD’s Certification Program, responsible for validating and ensuring the ongoing compliance of vendors’ products and services (Offerings) as a condition of OMD Certification or as part of providing validation as a service to other organizations and jurisdictions. _
- We are looking for a Business Analyst who will ensure that products meet requirements published in OMD’s EMR Specifications, including requirements related to EMR-integrated Provincial assets such as HRM, OLIS, DHDR etc. and is detailed orientated to ensure our products are compliant with various ongoing obligations and expectations required for EMR Certification._
- This role works closely with the EMR Specification, Integration and EMR Vendor Management Teams._

**Working closely with the Manager, EMR Certification, your responsibilities will include**:

- _Lead or support validation activities to certify a product or to recognize a product’s alignment to other individual _specifications_
- _Schedule and plan validation activities with internal and external program partners_
- _Execute validation processes_
- _Accurately _document validation results, observations and establish recommendations for relevant validation activities_
- _Reporting updates with respect to the plan, risks, and timelines on validation_
- _Support communication with vendors throughout the Validation process_
- _Make recommendations for Certification as an outcome of validation_
- _Support Vendor Certification Management to ensure vendor and its OMD-certified EMR Offering remain compliant to the expectations and obligations of EMR Certification _
- _Facilitate testing with 3rd party vendors for integration with OMD products_
- _Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of the validation processes_
- _Maintain and create controlled documentation and processes for the validation lifecycle_
- _Collaborate with the team to identify improvements or address issues and or risks on validation process/artefacts_
- _Understand and interpret requirements and success criteria to ensure consistency of validation evaluation_
- _Support activities to inform the development of the specifications through learnings in the engagement with vendors seeking Certification_
- _Support vendor compliance activities, for example, through validation and attestation reviews_
- Additional duties may include:_
- _ Planning, analysis, and testing related to the Integration of Health Report Manager (HRM) and eNotifications._

**Requirements that are important to us**:

- _ Post-secondary education Business Administration, Health Administration and/or Information Technology or equivalent experience_
- _ Minimum of 2 years experience working in Ontario digital health, with an emphasis on Community Care EMR products and vendors_
- _ Knowledge of Ontario EMR Specifications and OMD’s Core Data Set Standard preferred_
- _ Demonstrated experience in systems integration (e.g., XML, JSON, testing, etc.)_
- _ Experience with data health standards such as HL7 v2.X and FHIR_
- _ Experience in defining and evaluating products to a set of requirements would be an asset_
- _ Experience in solving complex problems with innovative ideas and solutions_
- _ Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills_
- _ Ability to work effectively independently and with a dynamic team _
- _Demonstrate the ability to initiate, plan and execute key activities in complex project-based environment_
- _ Strong knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office tools such as MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint_
