Job Overview

Part time Evenings and Weekends

A restaurant server takes orders, answers questions about the menu and food, sells the restaurant's food and drinks, takes payment, communicates orders with the kitchen staff, seats customers, and helps with customer service and cleaning.

Responsibilities for Restaurant Server
- greet customers and seat them in the order in which they arrive, when the hostess is unavailable or one is not scheduled
- familiarize customers with the menu and make appropriate suggestions when requested
- take customer orders and relay them accurately to the kitchen team members
- serve food and beverages
- clear, properly clean, and sanitize tables between uses
- collect payment from customers in a timely manner, be able to make change
- assist in training new employees as required
- anticipate guests' needs in order to facilitate and enjoyable dining experience

Qualifications for Restaurant Server
- excellent customer service skills and the ability to exceed customer expectations
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- good attitude toward teamwork
- strong work ethic, with a willingness to take initiative
- confident, outgoing demeanor
- flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends
- ability to be mobile for a minimum of 4 hours, bend, stoop and lift a moderate weight
- be of legal age to serve alcohol, and have a smart serve certificate
- smart serve certificate is required
- Must have serving experience

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 21 per week

**Salary**: From $16.55 per hour
