**About the role**
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our small, driven, Data Collection team. As a Field Technician, you will support our Data Collection team in coordinating and executing field operations as we collect 3 layers of data (with the use of drones and other platforms), on infrastructure assets around the world. Working closely with our third-party data collection partners and clients, your role will be to plan and execute on a successful operation and strengthen relationships with these stakeholders. You will also be working closely with our Geospatial and Acoustic team members to ensure that data meets specified standards for our analytics teams. Outside of the field, you will support the team in managing upcoming projects and helping to build workflows and processes that will allow Niricson to scale our operational capacity. You will also support the Acoustic team in testing and iterating our proprietary non-destructive testing sensor. An ability to communicate and collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders is required.

**Responsibilities**
- Coordinate and execute field operations, supporting our third-party data collection partners and/or clients in collecting data.
- Collaborating with internal teams to aid in the development of equipment and software.
- Strengthen relationships with drone partners and clients while in the field.
- Travelling up to 50% of the time to support field operations.

**Required Qualifications/Components**
- Degree/diploma in GIS, Remote Sensing, Surveying, and/or Civil Engineering.
- 1-2+ years’ experience in field operations related to the above industries.
- Strong management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to balance and prioritize responsibilities.
- Willingness to work independently and be a self-starter.
- Passionate about novel technology and have a strong ability to troubleshoot in the field.
- Strong critical thinking and emotional awareness skills.

**Preference may be given to applicants with the following**:

- Experience working with photogrammetry software, particularly from Bentley.
- Experience troubleshooting drone technology using open-source information.
- Experience in project management or coordination.
- Experience in surveying and a strong understanding of coordinate systems.
- Experience with UAV-based infrastructure inspections.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and energy towards drone technology and other various data collection methods.
- Passion for photography with experience in optimizing camera settings for differing environments.
- Experience and passion for interacting with external stakeholders.

**Pay**: Salary $50,000 to $65,000 (experience dependent) with hourly-based overtime opportunities during fieldwork
