**Fitter/Welder**

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Interpret and analyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine the appropriate fabrication methods.
- Perform welding and fitting tasks using MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes to assemble metal components.
- Measure, cut, and shape metal materials using various tools and equipment, including saws, shears, and plasma cutters.
- Ensure high-quality standards by inspecting and testing welds and assembled products for strength and integrity.
- Maintain and operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving during the fabrication process.
- Assist in training new team members on fabrication and welding techniques as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Technical degree or certification in welding/fabrication is a plus.
- Proven experience as a fitter/welder in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick) and knowledge of metal fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Valid welding certification (CWB or equivalent) is preferred.
