QC/QA Inspector

Trenergy is a 100 percent locally owned fabrication plant in St. Catharines, Ontario specializing in the manufacture of boilers, pressure vessels, and structural steel construction. We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail oriented individual to join our team. We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefit package including RRSP contributions.

Principal responsibilities of the QC/QA Inspector include but are not limited to:

- Conducting inspections on products during and at completion of fabrication to ensure customer and code requirements
- Receiving/conducting inspections of material and products upon delivery to Trenergy
- Inspection includes but is not limited to: checking visual and dimensional attributes of items ranging from basic raw material to large and complex equipment. Inspection includes complex layouts and close tolerances. The use of handbooks, formulas, and calculations are involved in determining the acceptability of items
- Completing and maintaining all necessary records and reports at each inspection
- Reporting any problems associated with production which may cause quality issues
- Reporting on and controlling non-conformance items from further processing until dispositioned
- Liaising with jurisdictional and customer quality representatives
- Upholding to the letter Trenergy Inc. Code of Ethics
- Responsible for performing operatives under his/her control, in the manner that is consistent with the Company’s Environmental Policies

Qualifications of the QC/QA Inspector
- Grade 12 plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience as Fitter, Machinist, Inspector in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with all aspects of blueprint reading
- Familiarity with fabrication practices, welding, precision instruments, machine shop operations, and non-destructive examination
- Knowledge of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Codes, Quality Programs, CSA Z-299 Quality Standards, and ISO 9000 Quality Standards
- Must possess good communication (verbal/written) skills and good interpersonal relations

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$71,000.00 per year
