Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Purchaser will be responsible for all company purchasing. The Purchaser must have experience in manufacturing material purchasing and have a strong understanding of purchasing processes from requisition to fulfillment. This role requires frequent price evaluations and analyses, market assessments, product ordering, price negotiation, record keeping, and order tracking and communication. Collaboration with varying business departments will be required.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Issue purchase orders for manufacturing needs
- Expedite materials or services as required on construction sites
- Responsible for inventory tracking, forecasting, and procurement
- Tracking of shipment schedules and deliveries
- Match packing slips of orders received with PO and invoice
- Verification of invoices and resolution of discrepancies, as required
- Resolve and negotiate cost, quality, lead-time, packaging and other purchasing related issues and concerns with suppliers
- Conduct background review of each supplier and update regularly
- Build and sustain supplier contacts and cross-functional working relationships

- Proficiency with Microsoft platforms
- Minimum 3 years' experience in buying/purchasing or procurement
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain, and/or equivalent experience an asset
- Experience working with enterprise resource planning tools, intermediate computer skills, and working knowledge of MS Word, Excel
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation, time
- management and organizational skills
- Demonstrate understanding of best practices for purchasing
- May be required to exert force using the upper body up to 25 lbs

**Salary**: $47,500.00-$56,000.00 per year
