We are looking for a Systems Administrator to join our IT team and play a key role in maintaining and supporting our business systems. If you’re a proactive problem-solver with strong technical skills and a collaborative approach, this hybrid opportunity could be a great fit.
**About the Role**
As a **Systems Administrator**, your primary focus will be to provide support for existing business systems, troubleshoot user issues, implement software solutions, and participate in IT projects such as system migrations and cybersecurity enhancements. You will also work closely with our insurance software vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure our systems operate smoothly and efficiently.
**Desired Competencies**
To join our team, you will ideally have:
- Work on IT projects such as system migrations, upgrades, and security enhancements as directed.
- Administration of insurance software & insurance software program vendor(s) (**Cognition +, Applied, PowerBroke**r)
- Act as internal support mechanism for business systems and escalate to respective software support systems as required. Monitoring and reporting status.
- Assist in implementation of required Insurance software program(s) to meet company objectives efficiently and effectively and continually perform software system and database changes and updates, as required.
- Assisting with implementation of cybersecurity tools and policies and education.
- Collaborating with the team on escalations and projects. Participating in knowledge transfer with other IT members for support.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications & Experience**
- University degree or college diploma in a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of functional and technical experience
- Knowledge of mutual insurance software including** Cognition+, PowerBroker, and Applied**
- Knowledge of windows environment and Microsoft 365
- Knowledge of **WordPress**
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner both business and technical requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve IT issues efficiently
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time effectively with attention to detail
