Reporting to the General Manager, our Facilities Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and general housekeeping of our Kingston dealership.Rush Truck Centres of Canada opens the door to the world of opportunity. **Duties and Responsibilities**
- Ensure compliance of all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, as well as the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
- Manage and ensure facility, grounds and shop are clean, safe, maintained and in a professional appearance.
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs and sourcing related to the maintenance of the facility.
- Empty containers and dispose of garbage, scrap and other material waste.
- Inspect, source and maintain tools, equipment and systems to industry standards.
- Facilitate and ensure third party contactors meet contractual requirements.
- Perform minor construction building projects.
- Complete installation of tooling and equipment upgrades.
- Perform simple vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Clean and prepare vehicles to ensure service meets and exceeds customers exceptions prior to delivery.
- Move and deliver vehicles onsite and to customers locations as required.
- Expected to have a positive attitude and promote a healthy work environment.
- Perform other duties as determined by management to support daily operations.
**Requirements and Environment**
- G drivers license required, AZ/DZ preferred or wiliness to obtain
- Forklift license preferred
- Criminal Record Check
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Manual dexterity required to complete maintenance and repairs.
- Required to kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, climb, handle, and feel.
- Able to use hand and power tools.
- Occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Overtime as required.
- Exposure to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
Hourly Wage Rate: $22.00 - $25.00 / hour
