BMT Group | Island Hino is seeking a Service Advisor to join our team located in beautiful Sidney, British Columbia. This is a full-time, permanent position and reports to the Service Manager.

**The Position**

The Service Advisor is a vital part of the dealership, and the way it builds open, honest, trusting relationships with customers and other departments are essential to the dealership’s success. The main objectives of the Service Advisor is to take ownership of the repair process administrational from conception to completion. This includes control the flow of the workshop, scheduling, providing estimates and frequent updates to our fleet accounts & invoicing.

- **Responsibilities**:_
- This position is responsible for the receipt and flow of all incoming work, communication with fleet customers and constant communication with mechanical Leadhands & department staff.
- Write up customers’ vehicle issues and concerns or maintenance requirements accurately and clearly.
- Must be able to understand, communicate, and evaluate all OEM’s (ADL, Volvo, Allison, Cummins, etc.) warranty guidelines, approval processes and policies during the write up and repair process.
- Review and adjust technician job reports and punch times as needed.
- Provide customers with additional estimates for work change orders after initial diagnostics and obtain authorization prior to commencing repairs.
- Liaison with department Manager / Lead Hands on status of vehicle repairs and subsequently contact customer with status changes / promise time as required.
- Ensure vehicles are parked in assigned areas, vehicles are locked, and keys are tagged and properly stored.
- Explain completed work and charges to the customer.
- Ensuring that all repairs are documented, technicians’ comments are descriptive and precise, and that the allotted time is noted prior to closing and billing.
- Processing Invoices.
- Providing customers with repair estimates and receiving proper authorizations.
- Working closely with accounting office personnel regarding customer account changes, customer credits, rebilling issues and clearing the sublet accounts when necessary.
- Maintaining and filing all necessary documentation required by the Service Department.
- Maintaining a professional appearance and a safe, clean work environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
