**Responsibilities**:
PRIMARY PURPOSE
This role supports the Compensation Team to deliver compensation and job evaluation programs to TransLink and its operating companies. This role works closely with the Compensation team to collect job information and employee data; conducts preliminary job and data analysis; supports HRIS data entry/maintenance and provides other ad-hoc assistance.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Works closely with the Compensation team and supports the Compensation Advisors in the job evaluation process by working under their guidance in collecting data and formulating drafts. Completes the job evaluation process by updating information in PeopleSoft. Maintains and monitors the job inventory to ensure correctness.
Supports the Compensation team in the design, development, and rollout of tools, templates, and resource materials for various initiatives to be delivered in a variety of formats. Drafts the policies in consultation with the Team members for further discussion and escalation. Once approved, finalizes the policies and support communication across the enterprise. Ensures all the existing policies are up to date.
Supports the team in compensation surveys in collecting, tracking, and summarizing the data, including analyzing the trends with guidance from the advisors. Compiles initial reports highlighting the key trends and observations and identify trends and issues for further action.
Under the guidance of the Compensation team, research and analyze data regarding compensation programs, compiles initial reports and findings, and share with the team for further action.
Supports the team in leading and coordinating the admin activities pertaining to Compensation programs and initiatives.
Participates in compensation initiatives and provides analytical and admin support to various initiatives including but not limited to organization design, compensation surveys, performance reviews, merit increases, and other related programs.
**Qualifications**:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The requirements for this job are acquired through a degree in human resources, and three (3) years of related experience through which a working knowledge of human resources, or compensation was developed preferably in a unionized environment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Solid experience using an HRIS to extract, analyze and summarize HR data.
Intermediate to advanced skills with MS programs including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and working experience with commonly used HR systems.
Solid written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare business reports and presentations.
Proven time management skills and demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, prioritize, multi-task, and able to meet multiple deadlines.
Strong organizational and analytical skills, to effectively research, coordinate and analyze, a variety of information.
Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Demonstrates initiative to work independently as well as in a team.
Demonstrated discretion and confidentiality are essential to be able to assess requests for private information and to be able to deny or escalate such requests if required.
**Other Information**:
Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.
**Work Schedule**:
37.5 hours per week.
**Work Designation**:
Hybrid
This position offers the flexibility of working both on-site and remotely within B.C.
**Rate of Pay**:
The salary for this position ranges from $69,600 - $104,400 per annum. Actual salary offered will be based on education, experience, skills, and qualifications as they relate to the role.
