Key job responsibilities include working in an interdisciplinary environment to increase the quality of life for young adults with disabilities by supporting their social inclusion, engaged citizenship, and personal development while assisting young adults with disabilities to participate in physical activities, leisure activities, and volunteer or employment work in the community.

**Job Title**: Community Disability Support Worker

**Job Type**: Part Time (flexible hours)

Position Start Date: As soon as possible

Position End Date: N/A

**Salary**: $20 - $25.25/hr

**Duties Include**:

- Participate in collaborative interdisciplinary team-based approach by implementing and contributing to team recommendations
- Provide 1 to 1 support to young adults with disabilities
- Facilitate daily schedule including activities of daily living and complete daily documentation
- Promote valued roles and social connections for young adults with disabilities in the community. This includes recreation & leisure activities, volunteer or employment work
- Encourage independence and self-accomplishment for young adults with disabilities
- Promote physical activity and assist in administering an exercise program

**Qualifications**:

- Demonstrate client centered values
- Demonstrate good communication skills and collaborative efforts in a team
- Effective time management and priority management skills
- Previous volunteer or work related experience that demonstrates people skills
- Criminal record check required within 1 month of hiring
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid emergency first aid certificate an asset
