Sherman Event Foods is a Food Concession service that serves at Shows and Festivals all over Ontario. We have been operational over the past 30 years.

We are seeking a flexible, motivated **Full time Cook** to join our team.

**Job Summary**

**Job Requirements**
- Must Have Food Handlers certification
- Stamina is a must as the hours can be very long
- Must be willing to learn and able to communicate clearly
- Must meet the criminal background check requirements
- Ability to analyse and interpret the needs of customers and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
- Operate at work safely and efficiently
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Oversee kitchen operations
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes

**Work Conditions**
- Weekends are where most of the hours will be
- The schedule over the course of the summer will vary as some shows can last as short as 1 to 2 days and 2 periods of 3 weeks straight
- Need to fully commited over the entire course of the seasonal work.
- Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Interaction with customers/clients, and the public at large
- High levels of stress and pressure
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds**.**:

- Be able to work in a standing position for up to 13 hours.

**What we offer**
- An experience over the course of the entire summer to travel over all Ontario.
- We will drive you to the location.
- We will cover food and living expenses over the course of the show.

**Salary**: $15.00/hour

**Experience**:

- Be able to do basic mental math.
- And remember customers who ordered what.

**Location**:

- Toronto, ON (preferred)

**Salary**: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Depending on what the regulations are over the course of the summer, mask wearing may be mandatory as we are following the rules set by the provincial government.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
