**Job Description/Tasks/Responsibilities**
- Interfaces with PHTS and Hittman on Logistic Services.
- Interfaces with internal and external customers on all shipments for waste processing and projects for EnergySolutions Canada.
- Scheduling of Logistics Supervisor and Operations Supervisor to support ongoing Waste Management and Projects.
- Provides coaching and team building for Logistics Supervisor and Operations Supervisor.
- Scheduling of Shipping resources to meet internal and customer demands.
- Manages the shipping and receiving department and ensures all company certified brokers and class 7 shippers are recurrently qualified to ship hazardous materials.
- Responsible for procedural compliance to meet Canadian and Hazardous Materials Transportation Regulations for shipments of hazardous materials in and out of company facilities.
- Provides support to Business Development in the production and review of quotes for Logistic Services. Helps determine whether the work can be performed, how long it would take to perform, and resources required, in a give and take process with Business Development staff, based on space, equipment and personnel limitations.
- Promotes a culture of health and safety, ensuring that workers are trained in operating procedures for the safe completion of tasks, are provided necessary personal protective equipment, and that workers are informed of and comply with the requirements of applicable health and safety legislation.
- Promotes a culture of inclusivity with respect to cultural differences in employee backgrounds, mindsets, and beliefs. Escalates operational, health and safety, employment and morale issues as required and works with management to resolve issues.
- Actively participates in the development of EnergySolutions strategy, including the ability to change strategies and priorities based on new data or requirements.
- Works with the Operations Manager to coordinate incoming and outgoing waste shipments.
- Ensures alignment with waste management groups and project groups.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Job Requirements/Skills**
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detailed knowledge of federal, provincial/state and local laws, regulations, ordinances and rules governing shipping and receiving
- Working knowledge of hazardous and radioactive waste regulations, including profiling as it pertains to shipping
- General knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing packages and report preparation
- Clear and concise posture and communication to ensure efficient and compliant work scope and shipments to or from the facility, Truckload (TL) and Less Than Truckload (LTL) logistics experience is an asset.
- Must be willing to travel on a consistent basis to meet the needs of the company and/or group
- Possesses the training, knowledge and experience in radiation protection/health physics required to perform the associated duties when shipping radioactive material

**Physical/Mental Requirements and Working Conditions**
- Advanced mathematic skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds; handle, grip, and reach above or below shoulder
- Ability to use hands and feet to accomplish tasks as assigned
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend/stoop, crouch, squat/kneel, crawl, twist at the waist and balance
- Ability to effectively communicate; speaking, reading, understanding, writing and hearing clear English; pass audiogram in hearing conservation program as required by location
- Ability to see close and distance; basic colors/shades
- Ability to work inside an office, outside, and in extreme temperatures
- Ability to work on slippery/uneven walking surfaces
- Ability to work alone, work with others, and interact with the public
- Ability to perform under deadline pressure

**Minimum Education, Experience and Certification Requirements**
- **Education**_
- College Diploma or Bachelor's degree preferred, required or equivalent experience in, Health Physics, Chemistry, or relevant field
- **Certifications**_
- Must be a certified EnergySolutions broker/shipper, or ability to obtain the certification
- **Required Experience**_
- Minimum 5 years in a Logistics role.
- Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity, along with experience in waste management, packaging, transporting, and transloading
- **Preferred Experience**_
- Hazmat shipping experience
