Parkland County has a Temporary, Full-time position available in the Public Works Department for a Utilities Operator (Maintenance Service Worker V), working from approximately January to December 2026. Reporting to the Supervisor, Utilities Operations, you will provide technical and field support services for the County's water and wastewater operations including making recommendations, arranging for, overseeing, or performing routine maintenance and repairs of County owned and/or operated water and wastewater infrastructure. This position includes a weekend stand-by on a rotational basis or as required.
- Graduate of a NAIT Water and Wastewater Technician program or equivalent is desirable.
- Mechanically inclined and familiar with basic hand tools.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Able to work outdoor in various weather conditions.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in making operational decisions.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License. Upon hire, a current Driver’s Abstract and satisfactory driving record must be provided.

An hourly rate of pay of $40.71 (2026 rate) based on a 40 hours/week schedule.

**Additional Information**

This position is stationed out of the Parkland County Services Building - 2700 48 St, Stony Plain, AB T7Z 1Y3 and will be required to work throughout the County.
