**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Responsibilities**:
We are seeking a Privacy Compliance and Governance Manager to lead IMAX’s privacy compliance program worldwide. Working from our locations in Los Angeles or Toronto, the role allows you to collaborate with key stakeholders across the company, primarily the Technology, Legal, Strategy & Innovation, and Marketing teams. In addition to managing our privacy program, your expertise will:

- Own, manage and monitor the development and implementation of a robust program IMAX’s privacy policies and practices;
- Manage Information Security governance programs;
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders in most IMAX business units;
- Serve as in-house liaison with our external privacy software providers;
- Ensure compliance with internal information security and privacy policies and drive the implementation of controls supporting new data protection and privacy laws and regulations;
- Evaluate internal policies and procedures regarding privacy/personal data, conduct risk assessments, and recommend improvements;
- Scale our privacy compliance and governance framework globally;
- Help to drive continuous improvement with IMAX’s privacy and governance practices over time, working closely with IMAX’s Technology, Legal, Strategy & Innovation, and Marketing teams;
- Create and conduct periodic privacy trainings across the company on a regular basis.

**Requirements/Qualifications**:

- 2+ years of privacy compliance, risk management and governance experience
- Certification/s in data protection is a plus (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM)
- Certification in information security governance is a benefit
- Experience working on domestic and global privacy and data security issues, including the GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, Section 5 of the FTC Act relating to privacy, anti-spam laws, cookies regulation, and CCPA / CPRA
- Knowledge of applicable privacy and data security laws and regulations in Canada, the S. (federal/state) and abroad, including a good understanding of the latest developments thereto
- Strong understanding of information security controls (ISO27001)
- Experience preparing reports and presentations for executive audiences
- Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams and influence others without direct authority
- Highly motivated and resourceful with the ability to work proactively and independently
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the company on complex, multifaceted issues
- Detail-oriented, business-friendly, and a team player, with an ability to think creatively and accommodate tight deadlines and business objectives
- Passionate about privacy and a gatekeeper of our privacy principles
- Strong work ethic and able to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a “can-do” attitude
