**Job Overview**
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Event Assistant to join our wedding planning team. As an Event Assistant, your primary responsibility is to provide support to the Event Coordinator on the day of the event. This includes a wide range of responsibilities, such as decor set up, executing important cues, being a point of contact for guests/vendors and communicating with the lead planner. There is a lot of work that goes into a wedding and it is very rewarding to be a part of the team that makes sure it is a success

**Duties**
- Assist the lead planner on the day of with cues, logistics, decor set up and take down and more
- Able to follow direction from lead planner while also being able to take initiative
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests and vendors during the event
- Communicate effectively with lead planner, other team members, guests, and vendors to ensure all event details are executed as planned.
- Possesses strong organizational and time-management skills

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience working in the hospitality industry is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Outstanding communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- A passion for creating memorable experiences for guests.
- Works well in a high paced, high stress environment
- Weekend availability is a must
- Has a valid license and reliable car *weddings can vary in location
- High school diploma
- Physically fit to be on your feet for 6 - 12 hours
- Must be legally allowed to work in Canada

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Weekends only

Work Location: In person
