**The role**:
**Compensation**:
- $50-$60 / hr based on experience
- Paid overtime
- 4 weeks vacation

**Responsibilities and Authorities**:
- Provide start-up and commissioning services to implement custom automation solutions
- Implement PLC and HMI software
- Troubleshoot software, electrical and communications issues
- Execute projects at customers’ facilities including managing sub-contractors, interfacing with clients, testing and debugging of designed systems
- Configure and commission control system equipment (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, vision systems)
- Cultivate strong relationships with customers
- Adhere to project schedules
- Provide technical support to customers and other team members
- Provide on-site training to technicians and operators
- Prepare electrical schematic redlines
- Maintain regular/frequent contact with clients/vendors/staff
**Competencies**:
- College diploma/university technical degree or equivalent job experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the automation field
- In depth HMI programming - Rockwell Automation
- Rockwell Automation PLC programming experience needed with full understanding of ladder logic programming, structured-text and sequential function blocks.
- Experience with Ethernet/IP
- Experience with Device Net, DH+ and RIO communication beneficial but not essential
- Programing with Wonderware and Inductive Automation beneficial but not essential
- Start-up and troubleshooting experience
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- Familiar with electrical installations
- Solid understanding of Canadian and US electrical codes
- Familiarity with AutoCAD
- Strong analytical problem solving & technical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Adept with Microsoft Office suite of software including Visio and Project
- Good time management
- Ability to travel internationally without issue - North America/International travel (50-75% travel)

- PLCs - Rockwell Automation ControlLogix platform, PLC5/SLC, Siemens S5/S7
- HMI/SCADA - Rockwell FactoryTalk View SE and ME, RSView, PanelBuilder, Wonderware InTouch, Inductive Automation Ignition.
- Programming Languages - C#, VB.NET, Visual Basic for Applications, Delphi
- Vision/ID systems - Datalogic, Cognex, Keyence
**Requirements**:
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid passport
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (required for air travel to the US)
**Salary**: $50.00-$60.00 per hour
