We are looking for a MOTIVATED, compassionate, energetic, well mannered, and meticulous individual with experience in medical office assistant. You will provide excellent care and service to our patients which includes VIP and executive health patients in a relaxed and premium environment. This position will challenge you beyond MOA tasks, but also give you the opportunity to grow in your ability to provide top notch service as well as your income through commission based bonuses.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Below are the general tasks that could be expected of you, but are not limited to:
**General Responsibilities**
- Answering phones
- Filing and faxing
- Scheduling appointments
- Maintaining the front desk and reception areas
- Handling correspondences
- Arranging and following up on specialist referrals and appointments
- Greeting, registering, and rooming patients
- Prepping and cleaning of exam rooms
- Sanitation and instrument sterilization

**VIP Concierge Responsibilities**:

- Answer questions immediately upon receipt from VIP channels.
- Answer questions appropriately on behalf of physicians
- Medical office assistant tasks as needed for VIP clients
- **Sales of VIP memberships**:

- Be proficient in selling VIP membership packages to potential clients
- Keeping up on leads and sales
- Discuss pricing and receive payments through various methods
- Wechat pay/Ali pay
- Jane App
- EFT
- Meet monthly sales targets
- **Membership Renewal tracking**
- Liase with allied health partners
- Keep track of allied health credits used by each VIP
- Allied health partners - direct to physician for questions
- Social Media
- Post on Wechat every 2 weeks regarding anything to do with VIP health or medical updates/services
- Create content in simple to read posts
- Xiao Hong Shu
- Help edit and upload videos / content from MD
- Website
- Maintenance and update as needed

**Additional Responsibilities**:

- Handling incoming/outgoing mail
- Scanning & linking documents
- Providing patient education - e.g., clinic procedures
- Managing EMR systems
- Handling payments, accounts receivable, petty cash/float
- Keeping inventory and ordering office supplies
- Billings - MSP/ICBC/WCB
- Private billings (insurance/ lawyer/forms)
- Answering questions, providing post-appointment services
- Monitoring the waiting room
- Completing vitals
- Taking patient heights and weights
- Medical asepsis
- Preparing patients for examination
- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens or perform basic laboratory tests on the premises: Urinalysis, pregnancy testing, spirometry, glucose monitoring, foot exams
- Immunization management and ordering
- Monitoring patients (in clinic) after tests and immunizations
- Assisting physicians in procedures
- Managing drug cupboard (i.e., ordering drugs, setting up drug reps, ensuring drugs are not expired)
- Giving prevention reminders

**Qualifications**:

- Language: Mandarin / Cantonese is an asset. English required.
- Education:

- MOA certificate from an accredited educational institution
- _1-year experience as an MOA_
- _An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience_
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to type on keyboard natively
- Excellent customer service skills and strong patient focus
- Detail-oriented
- Knowledge of MYLE EMR skill is an asset
- Computer skills
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures
- Ability to take initiative, multi-task, solve problems and work independently and in a team environment
- Experience with MSP/ICBC/WCB billing is an asset
- Reliable transportation required

**Compensation**:
$19 - $22/hour + commissions depending on experience
