**Overall Responsibility**:
The purpose of the sanitation role is to maintain and keep the cleanliness of the facility up to company standards. Sanitation must meet food safety and worker safety requirements to provide an overall safe environment to all members in the facility. A sanitation member must be able to follow strict procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to secure safety of all personnel and of company property.

**Responsibilities**:

- Follow lists of instructions accurately for everyday duties
- Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, machines and equipment.
- Wash walls and glass and remove rubbish found around the facility.
- Communicate effectively and follow Quality Assurance procedures.
- Must be physically fit to perform job duties as work requires bending, twisting, kneeling and lifting of the body.
- Sanitize walls, machines, and equipment.
- Follow company sanitation booklet which provides an accurate way to mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions.
- Operate and maintain industrial vacuum cleaners, power sweeper and polishing machines.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in cleaning/janitorial/general labor is an asset, but not a requirement
