Cold Storage Shunt Driver

**Summary**:Operate a Shunt truck in order to position full and empty trailers around the facility safely.

**Essential Duties / Responsibilities**:

- Maintains inventory of all shipping containers on the property
- Prepares containers to be loaded and backs into shipping docks as required
- Seals loaded containers according to food safety protocols
- Unloads incoming oil tankers for production
- Oversees the maintenance and cleanliness of the exterior of warehouse and shipping docks
- Maintain good housekeeping practices and 5S discipline throughout the warehouse
- Properly complete and maintain all required documentation as it pertains to the shipping process
- Effectively communicate all equipment issues to Warehouse Foreman and/or maintenance department
- Provide support and relief to various warehouse staff as required
- Other related duties as assigned

**Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Competencies)**
- Must have a valid Class 3 Driver’s License. Prefer Class 1
- Previous forklift experience and completion of in-house forklift training is required
- Familiarity with WMS and shipping procedures is an asset
- Physically capable of performing job duties (including lifting up to 80 pounds)
- Able to work in fluctuating temperature environments (including prolonged exposure to cold)
- Able to work with mínimal supervision
- Mathematical ability to perform basic calculations
- Must have proven history of safe work habits
- Successful completion of 90 day training period

**Physical Requirements**

Physical requirements for this position include climbing in and out of the shunt truck, opening and closing trailer doors, dollying trailers, lifting pallets and other duties as required.
