Sunnyside Farms Ltd. is a partnership between three family-owned farms in the Coaldale area. We grow potatoes for the French Fry market, and pride ourselves on being a progressive operation, focusing heavily on quality, food safety, and environmental and economic sustainability.

**CORE COMPETENCIES & SKILLS (**Preferred**)**:

- Experience operating potato equipment (Strongly Preferred)
- Valid First Aid

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Safely and efficiently haul commodities using a tractor-trailer unit
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of truck and trailers.
- Maintain accurate transport logs and delivery records.
- Assist with maintenance and repairs of equipment, vehicles and farm facilities while driving is not required.
- Support loading and unloading operations as needed.
- Follow all safety, food safety, and biosecurity protocols.
- Follow all requirements at customer site for safety requirements (PPE, unloading)
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including truck.
- Communicate effectively with Manager and coworkers to ensure smooth operations.

- Potato Storage / Conveyance Equipment
- Tractor Trailer Units (Class 1 Driver)
- Tandem Axle Trucks (Class 3 Driver)
- Pickup Truck and Tow Attachments
- Shop Tools

**KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS**:
The successful applicant will frequently communicate with the General Manager and farming crew to coordinate work. Occasional communication with office staff, vendors, and industry contacts may be required.

**TRAINING**:

- On-the-job training will be provided, as needed.
- Additional training may also be provided, as needed.

Full-time, permanent incumbents of this position are eligible for company benefits programs including health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance benefits, after three months of employment. **REMUNERATION**:Remuneration for this position is based on experience and quality of work. Range for this position is between $27 and $30 per hour. Incumbents of this position accrue 4% (2 weeks) vacation which may be taken as paid vacation time off or paid out (after 3 months) upon request. Due to this position falling under agriculture, there is no overtime.
