**Health Services - Long-Term Care**

**Contract, Full-Time; Duration: 13 Months**

**Salary Range: Band 8, $94,424 - $118,028**

**Hours of Work**:35 hours per week

**Reports To**: Reporting to the Manager, Practice, Innovation and Education (PIE) team, the PIE Supervisor oversees a multi-disciplinary team responsible for ensuring effective business operations, continuous quality improvement and centralized program and policy support for the five (5) Long Term Care Homes. This position will be responsible for all supervisory activities for assigned staff, such as the hiring of new staff, performance appraisals, training and development plans, and performance management requirements.

What You Will Do In This Role:_**- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
- Provide professional consultation to the LTC operations for specialized dietitian services, including development of standardized menus, recommendations related to evidence based practice, and development of operational protocols for nutrition and dietetics.-
- Perform all supervisory activities for assigned staff, such as the hiring of new staff, performance appraisals, training and development plans, and performance management requirements and provide guidance and ensure adherence to applicable legislations, policies, and standards- Prepare, administer and monitor the team specific budget; and report to manager on resource utilization and variances- Manage directly and/or through staff and complete life cycle of projects with strategic or operational impact for division, including project budget, project documentation and leadership and guidance for project team members- Through staff, manage Division’s annual resident satisfaction review, including refinement of survey tools, development and implementation of communication tactics, data analysis and reporting for Regional Council and Long Term Care Management Team, identification of drivers of satisfaction, and ongoing monitoring of improvement initiatives
- Oversee the Electronic Information Management (EIM) tool designed to support document and knowledge management across the Division
- Oversee the development of administrative and program policies and procedures, including ongoing monitoring to ensure policies remain current and consistent across all LTC operations, and maximizing use of electronic information systems
- Support staff to work with staff from Internal Client Services Division to ensure annual review and revision, and exercise of emergency plans for LTC operations, and business continuity plans
- Through staff, manage Division’s cross home contracts, including all aspects of the procurement process, ongoing management of vendor performance, issues resolution, contract budget management, and contract renewal requirements, in conjunction with the Purchasing Division’s designated LTC Analyst
- Work with manager on the development and monitoring of Division’s strategic and operational plans, and associated processes and initiatives, as assigned

**_ Educational Background/ Must Haves/Bonafide Job Requirements:_**
- Completed University degree in Health Sciences or Business Administration
- Five years of working experience within Long-Term Care (LTC) environment
- Three years of relevant leadership experience
- Equivalent combination of education/experience will be considered
- Thorough knowledge of the health care system, MOLTC standards, guidelines and requirements of LTC industry
- Experience managing and evaluating the full cycle of contracts

- Analytical mindset with strong skills in problem solving and evidence-based decision making
- Polished communicator with experience facilitating training sessions
- Strong knowledge of project management processes
- Effective interpersonal skills to build and sustain effective working relationships

**Assets**:

- Registered Dietitian designation a strong asset
- Experienced with budget management
