Brookdale Treeland Nurseries Limited (BTN) is one of the largest and most respected growers of garden plants in Canada. We are proud to service garden retailers, landscape contractors, municipalities, and golf courses throughout Canada and the United States.

We service our customers from four farms in Ontario and one in British Columbia with a total land base of over 800 acres. BTN specializes in building full-service programs in the following categories: Flowering Shrubs, Evergreens, Broadleaf Evergreens, Holiday Greens, Vines, Perennials, Trees, Small Fruits and Tropicals. BTN is not limited to supplying only these programs to our customers; Using a wide network of over 300 growers, we are able to bring products from around the world, keeping up to date with trends and consumer demands to build programs for our retail and wholesale partners.

**ROLE SUMMARY**:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Special Projects Coordinator will coordinate special projects and administrative tasks among all departments of BTN Niagara. Some of the main responsibilities include coordinating Health & Safety Operations, financial stewardship, Accounts Payable Activities, Data Management, and Payroll at the Niagara Division. This role will be responsible for preparing reports, ensuring compliance requirements, and working on other projects as needed.

As a member of the BTN Team, the Special Projects Coordinator will work closely with all departments. Great communication and the ability to work in a team environment is a must.

**RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES**:

- Coordinate onboarding and training for local staff as well as international workers
- Coordinate the Health & Safety operations and assist with the JHSC
- Coordinate IAW support program for Niagara
- Develop Project-based Data Processing Systems for Niagara

**JOB SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS**

- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Excellent verbal, written/digital communication skills
- Excellent computer skills - Excel and SAP focused, ability to learn new software systems.
- Promote a positive, safe, professional and productive work environment.
- Possess excellent math skill level
- Ability to work in fluctuating indoor/outdoor temperatures & conditions
- Ability to Speak Spanish is an asset/ not a requirement
- Ability to work with strict deadlines
