High tide is seeking a hands-on Operations Controller. This is a growing and highly successful company, and this will be a key support role to the CFO.

**Day in the life**:

- Supervision and guidance of accounting team Extensive work on implementation of procure to pay process
- Development of all accounting policies around procurement, purchase orders, inventory, receiving, and payments
- Oversight of all operational accounting requirements for the Canadian business
- Partnering with Area Managers to further develop stronger reporting, metrics, KPI’s and management reporting and dashboarding
- Being an extremely hands-on user of the ERP system and driving data, reporting and efficiencies using this system
- Performing profitability analysis, financial analysis, and break-even analysis for operational areas
- Understanding the key drivers of income statement and balance sheet and developing meaningful analysis based on financial statement information
- Development of stronger accounting policies and procedures
- Challenging the status quo, in a professional manner, and communicating the need for change to managers using tact and diplomacy
- Extensive work on inventory management, inventory accounting and reporting, and cost analysis
- Development of KPI’s to drive operational insight for decision making
- Development of various formats of management reporting
- Being a key support person to CFO and senior leadership team
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling work
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- CPA designation
- 10+ years of work experiences with operational accounting, management reporting, and KPI development
- Extensive work experiences of procure to pay process required
- Proven leadership skills and leading accounting teams
- Experiences using an ERP system to help drive data and reporting. You must be a hands-on user of ERP systems to succeed in this role
- Inventory management experiences
- Excellent organizational skills and communication skills
- Experiences developing accounting policies and procedures in a rapidly growing organization.
