**Journeyman Instrumentation Technician**

- **Position and Location**:_

We are currently seeking Journeymen Instrumentation Technicians in the Odessa, TX area. Shifts are a minimum of 4 weeks in. Flights, travel pay, lodging, and meal allowance provided. More details will be discussed during interview. Option of permanent relocation is available.
- **Duties/Responsibilities**:_
- Installs, repairs, and commissions of instruments including level, flow, temperature, vibrations, and pressure.
- Installs, repairs, and commissions valve controllers and positioners.
- Bend and install tubing.
- Cut, thread, and install piping.
- Troubleshoot and repair problems in a plant and field setting.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Show up on time prepared for work.
- Fill out and/or assist with job site hazard assessments.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion.
- Train and assign helpers on daily work tasks.
- **Required Skills/Abilities**:_
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Computer knowledge for use of on-line work orders and time sheets.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
- Relay information and questions through the proper hierarchy chain.
- Ability to adapt to last minute changes and redirect course of project completion accordingly.
- Ability to work independently, or as part of a team.
- **Education and Experience**:_
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ongoing education, completion of a formal apprenticeship, or valid journeyman electrician’s license.
- **Physical Requirements**:_
- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
- Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
- Must be physically capable of all mentioned duties.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Work minimum 8 hours a day.
- Work in all weather conditions.
- **Compensation**:_

Negotiable depending on experience.

Paid travel time. Overtime effective after 8 hours/day and 40 hours/week.
