Join the Door Doctor team Door Doctor is an established company in the overhead door and dock industry with locations across Ontario and Quebec. Door Doctor has been in business for over 40 years. We are looking for a Commercial Overhead Door and Dock Technician for service and installation in Ottawa. If you are not from Ottawa and are interested in relocating to the Ottawa area relocation assistance is available. We have a large established client base and are growing.
Position Overview
Responsibilities Overview
Daily customer service and commercial repairs or installations.
Prepares work orders for clients and completes other required paperwork.
Prepares quotations and makes recommendations to clients upon observation on site.
Communicates clearly with clients all findings and recommendations for current and future repairs and replacements required for door and dock equipment.
Preforms all work in a company provided truck.
Works in partnership and communicates with the Manager's in relation to fulfilling service requirements for commercial clients. We are a team all working together to serve our clients.
**Qualifications**:
You have experience already working as a Commercial Overhead Door and Dock Technician.
You have strong face to face and telephone communication skills.
Experience working with an Assistant Technician in the role of lead Technician.
Experienced in maintaining relationships with client accounts.
Experience in completing work orders and various paperwork related to the work you do.
Experience and knowledge required in overhead door, dock and operator repair and installations.
Experience and knowledge of low voltage wiring and electric operator repairs and installations.
Experience with and knowledge of high speed doors, gate operators and dock systems is an asset.
Experience with and knowledge of pedestrian doors is an asset.
Ability to take initiative and work independently.
Experience using hand and power tools.
Experience using equipment such as lifts, ladders, and torch.
The ability to weld is an asset.
Valid driver’s license is a requirement.
Flexible and able to work overtime occasionally.
**Oncall is not required it is optional.**
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $123.45-$678.90 per hour
