**Operations Administrator**
**Position Description**
We are a non-profit, registered charity, providing Safety Education for children in Red Deer and Central Alberta through school field trip programs (May-June), Summer Camps (July
Experience providing administrative support is essential for the fulfilment of this role, and includes written and oral communications with the public and board members, coordination of meetings, staffing responsibilities, licensing and registrations, processing of various documents, and facilities maintenance.
**Duties**:
- Work on behalf of the organization to promote programs and solicit donations and sponsors, and seek funding opportunities through grants, casinos and other fundraising activities
- Organize and implement programs including content development and delivery, managing enrollments and processing payments
- Hire, train, schedule staff and direct and advise staff for efficient management of duties
- Organize, control and evaluate facility operations, including respond to program queries, perform scheduling, bookings and invoicing, maintain subscriptions and licensing and process organizational documentation
- Plan and administer facility maintenance including arrangements for maintenance appointments, rentals, safety and cleanliness
- Coordinate Board member and public activities including creation of agenda for and attendance at monthly Board meeting
- Provide operational reporting and prepare meeting minutes;
- Prepare for Annual General Meeting (AGM)
- Provide the required documents to the bookkeeper monthly for account management and to the appointed accountant annually for AGM purposes
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in program facilitation (child focused), supervision, not-for-profit organization management, equivalencies considered. Minimum 1 year experience preferred.
- Post Secondary Degree or Certificate in a field related to child education or non-profit management is an asset
- Required proficiencies: Computer skills (MS Office Suite), social media postings (Facebook, Zoom, Twitter, etc.), website updates, developing and maintaining meeting agendas, notes, and action items, valid First Aid, AGLC process competency
- Strong written and verbal communication and engagement skills along with a confident demeanor for engaging stakeholders
- Ability to interact positively with others and take direction from the President and/or Board
- RCMP Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check and Current First-Aid/CPR Level-C required

**SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION**
1. Mileage: Current rate is 0.55 per km of travel outside of Red Deer (Vehicle necessary for occasional travel)
2. Work hours (calculate average): 30 hours per week
- (Full-time March 1 - Sept 30, 20-30 hours per week Oct 1-February 28)_
3. Hourly Wage is $22.00 - $26.00 based on experience, plus 4% vacation pay
- _A Kiosk Sponsorship bonus will be offered for any new Kiosk leases obtained by the individual when they successfully obtain a sponsor for a vacant Kiosk, bonus amount to be determined by Board_
4. This is a permanent position, reviewed annually
5. There is a 3-month probation period
6. Parking - free onsite parking
7. This position requires the employee to be onsite, with occasional work from home capacities
outside of the program months (Oct 1 - Mar 31) with Board approval
8. Employee will be required to sign a Confidentiality Agreement
