**Summary**
The Quality Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring product excellence and customer satisfaction by managing guarantee claims, supporting quality systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This cross-functional role works closely with manufacturing, customer service, and suppliers to uphold product standards and resolve quality concerns.
**Responsibilities**
**Guarantee & Customer Service**:
- Process guarantee claims and transfers and assist customers with claim submissions.
- Register warranties and manage the RMA (Return Material Authorization) process for defective parts.
- Investigate and resolve escalated or complex claims (e.g., labor claims beyond allowed hours).
- Support dealers and customers in understanding the guarantee policy and submission process.
- Communicate with dealers regarding repeated faulty claims and provide support for accurate registration.
- Provide same-day resolutions where possible and proactively address issues before they escalate.
- Support internal departments with claim data, history, and registration information.
**Quality Assurance & Control**:
- Support the implementation of quality control methods and standards under the guidance of the Quality Leader.
- Inspect raw materials, components, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Monitor and manage nonconforming products, coordinate rework and re-inspection processes.
- Investigate product failures and initiate corrective actions where needed.
- Maintain calibration records of testing and inspection equipment.
- Collaborate with suppliers to address quality issues and maintain incoming material compliance.
- Prepare quality analysis and non-conformance reports; assist in audits and internal reviews.
- Organize and maintain inspection records, work instructions, and quality documentation.
- Support training initiatives and promote a continuous improvement of culture within production teams.
**Requirements**:
- Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience in business, manufacturing, or quality assurance.
- 2-3 years of experience in a quality or warranty/guarantee role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, quality management principles, and regulatory requirements (CSA/Canadian consumer product standards) is a strong asset.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills; French is an asset.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
- Strong computer skills: intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook; experience with quality management systems a plus.
- ASQ certification, unionized workplace experience, and First Aid Level 2 are assets.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
