The National Manager - Marketing Communications will lead and inspire the Marketing Communication Team and agency partners to develop and execute plans to achieve OnStar and Connected Vehicle Services revenue and member growth targets, as well as launch new features and products in Canada. This role also oversees the brand's efforts to increase awareness, build brand equity and collaborate across the organization to drive business and execute long term strategies.

**Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively.The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired.**
**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsible for developing and implementing new and effective marketing strategies to drive engagement, acquisition, conversion and brand equity
- Drive improvement across all brand health metrics by having an understanding of the Canadian customer needs and behaviors
- Lead all Canadian Marketing Communications activities (leveraging U.S. and unique to Canada assets and platforms): CRM, Digital, Search, Social, Broadcast, Media Planning, Creative Development, Influencer Strategy, Website Management, Dealer Toolkits, Strategic Partnerships, Auto shows, Internal & External Communications
- Manage the internal approval process for all Go To Market plans for OnStar & Connected Services (including leadership and legal)
- Work with agency partners to develop Canadian specific marketing initiatives and strategies to grow brand equity
- Develop & Manage the Media and Production budget, including calendar year forecast / outlook and approver for all brand related costs
- Responsible for the Media and CAOR agency scope for Canada, including US alignment
- Actively engage and participate in all cross functional and global Connected Services forums / meetings
- Develop strong working relationships with U.S. colleagues and GM Canada cross functional teams (VSM, Comms, CCA, Legal, etc.)
- Build and maintain a strong working relationship with the Canadian Vehicle brand teams to increase OnStar & Connected Services profile
- Launch New Subscription Services and Products across all communications channels
- Understand and develop plans to support:
- Unique Canadian country laws (eg. Privacy, Privacy, Competition, etc.)
- Unique Canadian language requirements (French & other Multi Cultural language nuances)
- Unique Canadian market requirements
- Identify talent to recruit and develop the Advertising communications function and inspire direct team members & agency partners
**Required qualifications/ skills**:
- University degree (business/marketing/advertising)
- Minimum 10 years related work experience: OEM sales & marketing, subscription marketing, CRM, advertising
- 3 to 5 years leading direct reports and agency partners
- Creative Development & Media Planning
- Strategic Agility - accurately anticipates future market trends as well as sees the big picture view in order to create successful marketing campaigns and communication strategies
