As we move deeper into the age of robotics, the impact of motors will only increase.With over 140,000 employees stationed worldwide, Nidec continues to be a unique organization, and each location maintains its individual personality.Job DescriptionReporting to VP of Sales, we’re looking for a result-driven National Sales Manager to lead Canada sales team by developing strategic sales plans, managing the regional team, and building strong client relationship to achieve sales targets and market expansion. Also, will be responsible for developing the team, setting sales quotas and goals, creating sales plans, providing forecast and analyzing data.Responsibilities:Drive sales volume and revenue growth through active territory planning and execution.Identify new business opportunities with current and new customers to increase sales.Develop and implement a national sales and distribution strategy.Recruit, train, and manage Sales Representatives across all country.Monitor and improve sales team performance, ensuring KPIs and targets are met.Achieve objectives through effective planning, customer development, setting sales goals, analyzing data on past performance, projecting future performance and implementing improvements.Collaborate with marketing to generate new leads and provide accurate sales forecasts to support production and product planning.Maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.Work with product and engineering teams to make sure customer needs are met.Ensure compliance with internal policies and commercial standards.Represent the company at trade shows, events, and customer sites.Qualifications:BS/BA in Business Administration, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Other Engineering or relevant field.7 to 10 years of sales experience, ideally in motor or related industries, you have a proven track record of team leadership of at least 5 years.Experience managing a high-performance sales team.Knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.Availability to travel extensively within North American Region.A strong understanding of the market and industry trends.Bilingual( French and English) is preffered.Additional Job DetailsManagement – M2Organizational ImpactWorks to achieve operational, functional, and/or business targets within team with direct impact on departmental or job family resultsDelivers operational results that have impact on the immediate or short-term results (e.g., less than 1 year) for the department and/or job family groupPlans and establishes goals and objectives for a team typically comprising of intermediate-level professionals and entry level professionalsCommunication & InfluenceCommunicates with parties within and occasionally outside of own department or job family, which may include external clients or partners depending upon the job areaRequires ability to influence others outside of own job area on policies, practices and proceduresInnovation & ComplexityResponsible for making moderate improvements of processes, systems, or products to enhance performance of the job areaProblems are difficult and moderately complex and typically impact multiple departments or job familyProblems are typically solved through drawing from prior experience and analysis of issuesLeadership & Talent ManagementManages a team typically comprising of intermediate-level professionals and entry level professionalsLeads, directs and reviews the work of team members in order to accomplish operational plans and resultsTypically has hiring, firing, promotion, and reward authority within own area, in accordance with manager review and approvalKnowledge & ExperienceRequires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one job areaTypically has advanced knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organizationTypically has a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional certification and 5 years of prior relevant experienceEqual Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action at NidecNidec is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
