Mathnasium Of Oakville caters to students throughout the year as a supplemental help and is part of an internationally recognized company. Then come and join our great team and make a difference in children’s lives through your passion of Math This is ideally for a long term position, leading to further growth within the company. - Coming for full hours - all days and hours we open during the the week **(preferred)** Or - Coming for at least 3-4 days (_full hours_) of which the Centre is open. **Your available days should include combination of Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday** **Responsibilities**: - Teaching Math to students between Grade 1 - 12, using the Mathnasium Method® - Being Energetic and Creative while teaching new concepts to students - Occasional interaction with parents (when needed) - Relevant tasks related to teaching students at the Learning Centre including administrative assistance and other duties as assigned. **Required Qualifications**: - Exceptional Math skills (in-house Assessment will be taken). - Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. - Reliable and overall professional. - Ability to professionally interact with students and parents. - Energetic, Caring and Confident personality. - Enjoys working in a team. - Ability to understand and act on provided guidelines. **Preferred Qualifications**: - Creative, Fun, and Confident personality. - Ability to teach students confidently in upper level high-school math courses (Grades 9-12). - Should be able to motivate students to learn and to work on new concepts while maintaining a positive environment. - Previous experience working with children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, etc) is a plus. - University graduate or university student from a program with strong emphasis on Math. **Benefits**: - In-house training (ongoing) - Company dinners and activities (when applicable) - Further chances for growth in the company. - A fun, supportive, and encouraging work culture - A rewarding opportunity to transform the lives students - Consistent, but flexible part-time hours after school and on weekends - Continuous training on effective teaching methodologies - All necessary curriculum and instructional tools Hours include mid-afternoon through early evening hours, Mondays - Fridays, and earlier on Saturdays during regular school-year months.
