- As the Team Lead, Credit & Collections you will work to ensure that The City's revenue is collected, mitigate loss of revenue, and support with Tax recovery. You will be responsible for collecting on overdue accounts receivable and assessing the credit worthiness of applicants. Primary duties include:

- Lead a team of direct reports including recruitment and selection, mentoring/coaching and development.
- Act as a liaison between Credit and Collections as well as City business units and work to find credit and collections solutions.
- Provide support to staff to aid in resolving escalated inquiries and/or concerns for the public, senior management or Councillor's Office.
- Interpret and advise on the Municipal Government Act (MGA), City Bylaws, and corporate policies.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for taxation and corporate receivables.
- Prepare and distribute monthly and quarterly receivable tracking for senior management.
- Provide relief coverage to the Finance Leader, Credit and Collections as required.

**Qualifications**
- A completed 2 year diploma in Business Administration or a related field and at least 8 years of credit and collections experience is required.
- A completed Certificate from the Credit Institute of Canada will be considered an asset.
- Previous supervisory experience will be considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of Municipal Government Act will also be considered an asset.
- Experience working with PeopleSoft Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM), Property Tax on the Web (PTWEB), Business Tools, (BTOOLS), and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).
- The ability to efficiently communicate and relay complex information in a way that is easily understood by diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills accompanied by a proven customer focus and strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.

- Compensation: Pay Grade 11 $43.35 - 57.96 per hour (2024 Rates)

work week, with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.
