**About the Role**

This position will report directly to the Operations Manager and identify leads, provide quotes, close deals and position us an industry leader.
- Your key areas of focus include:_

**Quote Freight and Manage Projects**
- Supply competitive shipping quotes to your existing clients and new prospects
- Negotiate rates with carriers and vendors
- Manage customer accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure successful projects
- Generate positive relationships with all customers, prospects and carrier vendors
- Maintain margin goals and targets set by the company

**Customer Outreach**
- **Utilize your network to develop logistics business with clients.**:

- Identify inactive shippers and develop your strategy to contact them and earn their business.
- Build pipeline, close deals and achieve sales targets

**Your Qualifications**

You will be set up for success if you have:

- Experience and knowledge of North American over the road trucking and logistics (dispatching, freight brokerage, sales, etc.) or Ocean / Air Forwarding
- An existing list of shipper clients in Canada and the USA
- Relationships with partner carriers in Canada and the USA
- Knowledge or experience of air and ocean freight is an asset
- Proven sales & negotiation skills with the ability to influence others
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience with successful sales techniques
- Computer proficiency, including MS Office and dispatch management software
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude
- Entrepreneurial spirit with motivation to set and exceed goals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, manage time effectively and prioritize tasks as needed

**Compensation**

This position is salary and commission based with excellent incentives and uncapped commissions.
