We are seeking a** Part-time Scale Clerk**to join our team from **Monday-Friday 7:00am-6:00pm and every other Saturday from 7:00am-4:00pm** (you will have 1 day off during the week if working the Saturday).
As a Scale Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately documenting weights and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
**What you're responsible for**:
- Operating the scale system to accurately weigh incoming and outgoing metal materials
- Recording weights and relevant information in the computer system or on paper records
- Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintaining accurate records of all transactions, weights, material types, and customer information
- Verifying the identification and documentation of drivers, carriers, and vehicles while issuing receipts, and processing payments accurately
**Qualifications** What we offer**:
- You have previous experience as a scale house operator or strong customer service setting
- You have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- You have the ability to handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records
- You have effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- You must be available to work **every other Saturday from 7:00am-4:00pm
