**PROFILE**

Gowling WLG is seeking a lawyer with experience in the real estate sector - Transactional & Corporate to join a dynamic, active and growing team

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Actively participate in the management of commercial real estate transactional matters (i.e., acquisitions, sales, financings)
- Help draft agreements pertaining to the financing and sale/purchase of real estate assets and ensure related follow-ups and compliance
- Draft various ancillary documents pertaining to financing and acquisitions/sales, and complete related summaries
- Perform due diligence on financing/acquisition matters, as well as review and issue legal opinions specific to this area
- Draft transactional documents of all types
- Conduct title searches, draft title opinions and summary reports (e.g., analysis of easements and emphyteutic leases)
- Draft and negotiate a variety of leasing documents including offers, leases, amendments, discharges, contracts and various real estate portfolio-related correspondence
- Advise clients on the general business law aspects of real estate matters

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in Real-estate Law and commercial leasing.
- Experience in financing, insolvency or restructuring are definite assets.
- High level of motivation, commitment and leadership.
- Excellent skills in interpersonal relations and team work.
- Ability to manage several matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment where the ability to meet deadlines is as important as attention to detail.
- Capable of assuming a high degree of responsibility and have a desire to gain exposure to increasingly challenging work.
- Excellent drafting and oral communication skills.
- Bilingualism (French/English).
