GEC Serviced Apartments and Hotels are strategically situated throughout Metro Vancouver, each along a major transportation artery. Such as GEC Granville Suites, a premium boutique hotel in Downtown Vancouver, located in the Granville Entertainment District. It’s surrounded by the countless amenities of downtown living. GEC Living currently operates 7 buildings across Vancouver, with multiple locations in development. These services are designed to ensure a safe and convenient environment for international and domestic students to study and enjoy their stay in Vancouver. Job description **DUTIES**: - Responsible for the day-to-day operations of building with a strong commitment to customer service - Work on the tasks as assigned by Property Manager with other team members - Proactively inspect grounds, facilities, and equipment and report abnormalities to management - Perform maintenance on the grounds including shoveling and salting the walkways and entrances as required in the winter. - Perform basic repairs and maintenance in suites and common areas not requiring the use of skilled trades - Provide customer service-related duties to tenants as required such as tenants’ check in and check out, inspection with tenants - Conduct security check and monitor CCTVs of the buildings, reviewing footage if necessary and report any abnormal or suspicious activities in the daily logs - Alert authorities if needed for emergencies or security breaches - Monitor, test, and maintain security systems - Address any infractions of building rules and/or forwarding them to the appropriate level of management - Other duties as assigned **REQUIREMENTS**: - Flexibility to work outside of core hours when business needs dictate - Flexibility to work in different GEC locations in City of Vancouver or Burnaby - Possess work experience at hotel front desk, concierge at rental buildings would be a bonus - Experience working within general building operation preferred **Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time **Salary**: From $17.00 per hour Schedule: - 8 hour shift **Experience**: - Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
