**Position Title**: Housing Coordinator
- Full-Time Permanent

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Establish an applicant base and filing system, and maintain the system continuously
- Keep records of all information regarding tenants and applicants
- Maintain a file management system per established FWFN policies and procedures
- Complete reporting documents required for various funding agencies
- Provide monthly reports outlining activities, concerns, and recommendations
- Promote information sharing through the development of activities, newsletters, etc.
- Prepare housing agreements and any related documentation
- Maintain a database of all Community Members living in Band Housing
- Promote harmonious relations among tenants, housing project personnel, and community persons
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless services
- Follow up with tenants regarding accounts and establishing repayment agreements
- Document calls and visits from tenants, applicants, and community agencies, and maintain accurate and comprehensive files of all activities and case studies
- Assist with office duties daily - answering telephones, following up on maintenance requests including work orders, rental inquiries, filing, updating, and implementing new forms, responsible for correspondence to applicants, tenants, Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Program, etc.
- Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to providing emergency On-Call services

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in the Office administrative field; with proven interviewing and problem-solving skills. Good working knowledge of social housing programs and the Corporation’s policy and procedures
- Knowledge of diverse client groups and needs. Knowledge of Indigenous Communities, and relevant issues
- Awareness of Indigenous traditions and culture
- Excellent organizational, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to evaluate situations and summarize them into report format. Tact, diplomacy, and discretion in handling confidential issues
- Post-secondary education and/or grade 12 diploma with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in working in a related field
- Possesses knowledge of the Tenant Protection Act, Human Rights Code, Health and Safety, etc., and is familiar with CMHC housing
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle
- Must provide a criminal records check
