Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team in the food industry. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for assisting with meal preparation and ensuring food safety and quality in our restaurant kitchen.
**Duties**:
- Prepare ingredients and assist with meal preparation under the guidance of the Head Chef
- Follow recipes and cooking techniques to ensure consistent results
- Assist with food handling, storage, and rotation to maintain freshness and prevent contamination
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation during service hours
- Adhere to food safety standards and guidelines at all times
- Assist with plating and presentation of dishes
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or needs to the Head Chef
**Skills**:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the food service industry is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Strong understanding of proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.50-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
