The **Technical writer** works closely with the engineering department and is responsible for creating and compiling technical information including operating and maintenance manuals, catalogues and assembly instructions into easily understandable language.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and design technical documentation to be provided to internal and external customers.
- Prepare documentation including operating and maintenance manuals, catalogues, assembly instructions, and product bulletins.
- Edit documentation for clarity without changing key information.
- Organize work to ensure that successful completion of projects includes all applicable documentation, along with successful customer acceptance and field deployment.
- Complete QA Training requirements on an annual basis demonstrating understanding and practices.
- Work closely with the engineering department to ensure customer correspondence is accurate and timely.
- Maintain computer files/databases when required.
- Work efficiently, safely, and follow all Safety policies.
- All other assigned or associated tasks and duties to help meet or exceed the customer expectations and company goals.
- Maintain all company information as confidential.

**Education and Training**:

- Related post-secondary education.
- **3 - 5 years technical writing experience.**:

- **Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.**:

- **Proficiency with Adobe Frame Maker is required.**:

- **Experience SolidWorks and AutoCAD are assets.**

**Personal Attributes**:

- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Organized self starter with proven time management skills.
- Team player that strives to achieve successful results.

**HSE Requirements**:

- Work Indoors.
- Occasional work around or on functioning equipment.
