**Position Summary**: The primary role of the Production technician is to manufacture Boreal Laser products in a consistent manner that meets quality and certification requirements. **Responsibilities**: - Assembly of Boreal Laser Products_ Electronic assembly ▪ Use of proper Electro Static Dissipation (ESD) handling of board and components ▪ Assembly of PCBs and Cables ▪ Test function of PCBs, Cables and other components ▪ Verify incoming materials before stocking ▪ PCB programming ▪ PCB completion and final setup - Tuning system parameters - Selecting and soldering components Mechanical assembly ▪ Check incoming materials against CAD drawings ▪ Mechanical assembly of small parts ▪ Use of various small hand tools ▪ Limited use of certain small power tool Equipment Calibration Troubleshooting of various Boreal Laser products - Optical - Mechanical - Electronic Skills/ Education: - Electronics Service Technician, equivalent or higher considered an asset - Electronic Engineering Technologist (E.E.T) considered an asset - Reading and understanding mechanical drawings. - Reading and understand PCB files and circuit schematics considered an asset - Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.) - Experience with ERP software is an asset (Microsoft Dynamics Preferred) - Previous production experience - Attention to detail Core Competencies - Good Communication skills - Organization - Able to work as part of a team or individually - Attention to detail and quality - Able to read and follow procedure Environment - Some lifting; up to 45lbs - May include long periods of standing - Available to work overtime when necessary - Able to work safely with chemicals Duties as required (
