The Saint James Music Academy (SJMA) is a free afterschool classical music program for at-risk and underserved children and youth living in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside neighbourhood. The Director liaises with the Board of Directors and other volunteers to integrate a total organization approach to fundraising and also works with a wide variety of community partners, ranging from local businesses, to arts organizations, to religious institutions.
