Priority Logistics Inc is an intermodal based FTL, and LTL trucking company. Our head office is located in B.C. We have terminals across Canada.

We are now hiring a full time dispatcher for our Ontario terminal for the evening. This shift starts at 7 am and is from Tuesday - Saturday. You are responsible to make sure all work is completed throughout the evening and respond to any driver issues/concerns until they are finished.

**Dispatcher Responsibilities**:

- Ensure smooth running of logistics operation
- Sort and categorize shipments by town and / or delivery area. Organize line-ups into loads for proper routes / cities.
- Prioritize and service special delivery requests and re-ships in an urgent and efficient manner.
- Ensure routes are in an efficient delivery order and weights are sufficiently balanced with outgoing equipment.
- Create dispatch for the following day and assign drivers according to start times, and pickup/delivery times.
- Assist in any unfinished data entry, manifesting, dispatching, scanning, photocopying bills etc. Ensure that manifests, invoices records, and files, are completed, maintained, and correct
- Provide quality customer service and answer driver and customer inquiries in a timely manner
- Work in co-operation with other departments and within operations. Communicate daily with Dispatch Manager to ensure cost effective operational decisions.
- All other duties as required.

**Dispatch Responsibilities**:

- Dispatch Truck Drivers on various loads, both pick-ups and delivery meeting customer pick-up/appointment times.
- Entering loads both Linehaul and LTL loads into systems.
- Communicate with other Dispatchers within Priority Logistics Inc ensure accurate coverage of loads.
- Assist the team in answering Customer and Driver calls, assist with inquires whenever possible.
- Assist in any traffic duties when required, ticketing, photocopying, data entry and routing.
- Monitor satellites and Driver’s progress constantly to ensure smooth flow and no delays.
- Communicate with operations of issues with said progress.
- Communicate driver information to the supervisor when necessary.
- E-mails any late freight reports
- Required to help cover co-workers with-in your department (absences, vacation, and illness).
- All other duties as required.

**Salary**: $50,000.00 per year
