**What to expect on the job**:
Reporting to the Communications Manager, the Communications Specialist will support the planning, development, and delivery of effective, engaging, and high-quality internal communications to stakeholders across the organization, including North American and international salaried and hourly employee audiences.
- Develop internal communications content that brings HLF’s company purpose to life, strengthens its high-performing, ‘people-first’ culture, and supports the execution of annual growth strategy goals
- Support alignment of internal communications across both salaried and hourly employee audiences through relevant, consistent, and coordinated messaging
- Support key processes to manage the company intranet including editorial calendar planning, content authoring, editing, publishing, and archiving as appropriate
- Produce highly visual and impactful content for plant and office digital signage communications boards
- Collaborate with partners across the business, including but not limited to HR, IT, Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing, to advise, create, and execute on communication plans to support functional and cross-functional initiatives aligned with HLF’s business strategy
- Support opportunities to strengthen and enhance HLF’s corporate brand and employee experience by contributing content for HLF’s LinkedIn company page
- Produce creative content in alignment with HLF brand guidelines and DE&I commitments
- Research and recommend improvements to reimagine HLF’s internal communications materials, tools, and processes based on new and emerging trends
- Support HLF’s quarterly Making Waves employee idea submission program
- Support event and content planning for quarterly Town Hall meetings and other ad hoc company meetings
- Participate as a project team member in key communications initiatives
**Must-haves**:
- Post-secondary degree or certificate in related field such as Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Human Resources, Change Management, Marketing
- 3-5 years of communications-related experience within a corporate environment; experience supporting salaried and hourly employee audiences is considered an asset
- Experience working in or with publicly traded companies is preferred
- Training or work experience in organizational transformation and change communication
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Highly proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook), and SharePoint and Microsoft Teams as collaboration tools
- Highly collaborative and creative team player with proven relationship-building and influencing skills
- Excellent project management skills and ability to deliver quality results in a fast-paced environment
- Highly adaptable, able to switch tasks yet still maintain a drive towards completion
- Innovative mindset that enjoys change and driving improvements
- Strong familiarity with online design tools like Canva, Adobe, etc.
- Video editing experience is considered an asset
- Bilingualism in English, French, and/or Spanish is considered an asset
