Billback Specialist

Billback Specialist (12‑month contract) – BD BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies, dedicated to advancing health through innovative products and solutions. We are seeking a Billback Specialist to join our Billbacks Team within Global Business Services (GBS), Quote-to-Cash, North America Customer Operations Group. The role manages billback activities for a portfolio of distributors, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate claim processing, collections, and reporting. Responsibilities Manage the billback process for assigned distributors and other accounts. Lead the monthly billback cycle, including claim formatting, loading, validation, processing, and generating variance reports. Ensure timely and accurate claim processing, minimizing errors and reconciling discrepancies. Resolve claim errors with distributors and contract sales specialists, monitoring hand-offs and corrections. Communicate with distributors, maintaining customer service standards, reviewing issues, analyzing metrics, and mitigating repeat errors. Reconcile monthly Accounts Receivable against ERP systems (SAP, JDE, i5), manage credit and collections, and coordinate clearing activities with NASSC. Track and report metrics and service levels, including YTD unaddressed claims and error rates. Support continuous improvement initiatives for system and process efficiency. Collaborate with business units and operational teams on special projects. Education & Experience College degree in a related field. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas). Knowledge & Skills Strong team player with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication. Flexible and able to balance competing priorities while meeting tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business (preferred). Experience with Vistex Billback/Chargeback/Contract Management. 1–3 years experience with ERP systems such as SAP, JDE, Oracle, MS Dynamics, AS400 (i5). Understanding of billback model, contract management, and customer support processes. Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, QlikView, or similar. Bilingual (English & French). (asset) Excel macro development experience. Proficiency with PowerPoint and Access. Location & Work Arrangement Primary location: Mississauga, Derry Road West, Canada.
