Drywall Installer

**CMA Building Systems**, located in Mount Uniacke, NS is Atlantic Canada’s first steel shop dedicated to pre-fabricating steel stud wall and floor panels. **What you will do**
- Read blueprints, diagrams, and manufacturer’s instructions to determine proper work procedures.
- Measure and cut drywall to fit specific areas, ensuring precise dimensions and mínimal waste.
- Attach drywall to wall panels using hand and power tools to secure them in place.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks and deadlines.
- Detect defects and excessive wear in wall panels before they leave the shop.
- Show care and responsibility for the sheathing procedures, and personnel, keeping up with daily production targets.
- Assist with other activities as required, including operating accessory former, material handling, general maintenance of shop.
- Responsible to update production manager for supplies and consumables needed for production.
- Daily touchpoint with production manager to ensure proper production flow.

**Your experience**:

- Minimum 3-5 years experience in drywall, framing or another related carpentry discipline.
- Experience in a production shop environment is ideal.
- Able to interpret shop drawings used to assemble steel stud wall panels.
- Must be able to use and read an imperial unit tape measure.
- You have good attention to detail and take pride in your work.
- Ability to problem-solve under tight deadlines.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds unaided, occasionally up to 100lbs.
- Must have reliable transportation. There is no public transportation nearby.
- Abide by established safety standards.
- Must have CSA-approved safety footwear.
